Ivan Mincik (imincik) | * I would be happy if we can focus more on stable release backports starting from 25.05
| 08:05:24 |
autra | 👍️ | 08:05:41 |
autra | you mean, all the patches release, or even minor and major ? | 08:05:55 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | Bug fix releases. | 08:06:27 |
autra | I can try to focus on that, as I don't use unstable | 08:06:39 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | * Bug fix releases /patches. | 08:06:40 |
| * autra needs to find a way to get notified of new versions | 08:07:11 |
autra | I'd see if repology can do that. | 08:07:17 |
autra | you're not too concerned about the 17 packages failing for https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/386824? | 08:08:01 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | I am subscribed to all github repos to get notifications when new release is out. | 08:08:03 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | Not too much. There is always something failing. I can run hydra-build-status on failed packages. | 08:09:24 |
autra | yeah, that's a solution, but I already have a lot of notifications from github 😅. I'd like a digest or something | 08:09:45 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | I have too many notifications as well. | 08:10:06 |

autra | Hi! Does someone have a working shell.nix (or equivalent) for QGIS dev? | 16:54:09 |
8 Apr 2025 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | Tim Sutton Tim Sutton has shell env for plugins development and is interested in further improvements. | 07:27:24 |
autra | I think I remembered someone posting a tool that was able to generate shells from a package in nixpkgs, but I couldn't find it again :-/ | 07:52:38 |
autra | otherwise that was the point of https://github.com/imincik/geospatial-nix.repo/blob/master/shells.nix right Ivan Mincik (imincik) ? | 07:54:34 |
autra | (if yes I could contribute to it if I manage to have something working :-)) | 08:04:40 |

I'm not exactly sure what exactly you want to achieve. You can generate build dependencies of package using inputsFrom (see: https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/58510/files)

autra | Thanks for the heads-up Ivan Mincik (imincik). Well, merged already :-) | 07:52:35 |
Ivan Mincik (imincik) | Yes, I just wanted to ask about waiting until new nixos is branched off but it is already there :). I did a review and couldn't find any issue. | 07:53:50 |
