Marie | I'm pretty sure it's this webkit bug: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295103 | 19:27:30 |
Marie | enabling rtkit also fixes it | 19:27:36 |
Sean | idk whatever is built into wayland/sway when I set it to 1280x960 | 19:59:11 |
Sean | and it fills the monitor | 19:59:17 |
Sean | gamescope with -S stretch does the same thing though | 20:02:10 |

K900 | This is Sway, not Wayland | 07:40:45 |
K900 | And it should generally not scale anything at all | 07:40:59 |
K900 | But let your display scale it | 07:41:04 |
K900 | Which will usually do the stupidest thing possible | 07:41:16 |
Sean | oh okay 👍️ thank you. not really sure how I'd set the display to 1280x960 in sway though. I tried swaymsg output DP-1 mode 1280x960@239.99Hz but it didn't work so I guess I'd need to choose one from swaymsg -t get_outputs however the largest 4:3 there is 640:480 @ 60Hz | 15:23:16 |
K900 | It's possible Sway is trying to scale something | 15:23:39 |
K900 | And what you're seeing is just a difference of scaling algorithms | 15:23:47 |
Sean | oh okay. it might be because I'm using no_tearing? (immediate output) | 15:24:25 |
Sean | I'll just use xwayland because it works I guess | 15:24:59 |
