For those with a VisionFive board, a NixOS SD image is now available at https://github.com/zhaofengli/nixos-riscv64/releases/tag/2022022600 (more info here). Could you give it a try? Thanks to ius for figuring out the kernel issues above (additionally stmmac needs to be built-in and then ethernet works).
