SigmaSquadron | for that specific service, you can also override the systemd unit, assuming it has the same name in the nixos module or upstream. | 12:41:29 |

Vassilis Palassopoulos | Hey, if you think I am spamming too much with KDE Ni! OS just let me know. | 10:51:28 |
K900 | To be honest, I am slightly worried about people trying to turn their personal NixOS config into a Product | 10:53:23 |
K900 | Without really communicating to upstream | 10:53:28 |
Vassilis Palassopoulos | Yeah I noticed your comment on the first blog post. I hope there is some collaboration between upstream and Ni! OS. Immutable distros are all the rage nowadays and NixOS already has all those features and more. In my eyes Ni! OS showcases to its audience (people who are probably aware of immutable distros but not NixOS) how NixOS is already where immutable distros have been trying to go. This reminds me of SnowflakeOS, basically hiding the nix language to the user, and giving them a reliable system with comparable user experience (with graphical tools) to what they were used to. | 11:08:13 |
K900 | Except it kinda doesn't do any of that | 11:10:05 |
K900 | It's literally just the guy's personal NixOS config | 11:10:17 |
K900 | Sorry if I sound grumpy | 11:10:26 |

vivekanandan_ks | * Hi All
In my KDE NixOS, my wifi networks works only after I enter my password to the kde wallet which pops on statrup.
I want don't want this manual step. What's the option for this in nixos🥹?
| 14:12:01 |
K900 | Set your wallet password to match your user password | 14:12:03 |
K900 | And then it should auto-unlock | 14:12:10 |
vivekanandan_ks | It's the same password but still not working | 14:13:10 |
K900 | Are you using autologin? | 14:13:18 |
vivekanandan_ks | Yes | 14:13:33 |
K900 | Then it won't work | 14:13:39 |
K900 | You can set your wallet password to empty string | 14:13:44 |
K900 | Then it'll store your secrets in plain text | 14:13:50 |
vivekanandan_ks | It's a safety mechanism? | 14:14:01 |
K900 | No, it just doesn't know your password | 14:14:08 |
K900 | When autologin is used | 14:14:13 |
K900 | If you log in with password, the password you used to log in is passed to kwallet for unlocking | 14:14:39 |
K900 | But if you autologin, there is no known password | 14:14:45 |
vivekanandan_ks | Then it won't ask the popup and connect to network automatically? | 14:14:53 |
