I just joined the NixOS organization. I'd like to switch to this as my main account. The idea of a nixos home server is awesome I loveit. But tbh I'm really scared that the project gets shut down one day. That's the only thing keeping me away from using this as my home server. | 11:55:37 |

While it is currently just me operating this I've had conversations with the nix-community folks about handing it over / joining them. That means bus factor >1 and also secured funding. Currently I pay about 50€/month to keep this alive. | 11:58:40 |

| 9glenda | It's just 50€ a month now but I have no idea how matrix scales (maybe well maybe badly). Making people pay is not a good idea at all in my opinion. But I can't expect you to pay 50€ a month in order to host a free service for me. The issue with a paid service is that it's then not really helping the community.
You have to think about the 50€ being spend on the nixos community. That's like donating 50€ a month to FOSS. You're truly helping the community. | 12:18:12 |

Right now when I click on a ‘Start chatting’ link from an invite I get ‘MatrixError: [403] You are not invited to this room.’ Any ideas what might be going on here—is it a nixos.dev thing?
