@hexa:lossy.networkhexaso re ToU/PN update: wondering if that is just a regular refresh to update it to the current reality15:41:22
@emilazy:matrix.orgemily(fwiw, uBlock Origin Lite is pretty nice if it works for your use-case and I've been using it on Firefox for a long time. I personally think it's pretty nice to have less blocking JS running on every page load and fewer extensions with god permissions.)15:44:33
@emilazy:matrix.orgemily(not directed at you specifically, just a general remark re: MV3 stuff)15:44:33
@emilazy:matrix.orgemily(you can upgrade it on a per-site basis to do cosmetic filtering for tricky sites, which is nice.)15:44:51
@hexa:lossy.networkhexafrankly, I'm still on uMatrix and uBlock origin15:46:59
@hexa:lossy.networkhexaI'm fine with sites breaking left and right15:47:11
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyI ran uMatrix for a while. with I think JS blocked by default, or at least all third-party JS. it was an experience15:50:54
@emilazy:matrix.orgemilyanyway just mentioned it because I think people are often under the impression that Lite is a huge downgrade, which I don't think is true for the average user – you can still get cosmetic filtering etc., though custom filtering is a sad downgrade15:51:37
