@winston:winston.shwinston I ran into one build error so far https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/3109eaae18e09d0b8aef23dc2579e7d94b8d4b4e/pkgs/os-specific/linux/fuse/common.nix#L35-L39
shouldn't this be using fetchpatch2 because of the long commit hash format?

@elvishjerricco:matrix.orgElvishJerricco winston: open the link, you'll see short hashes 17:19:35
@winston:winston.shwinston ah my bad I was looking at the from part in the first line yeah 17:20:01
@winston:winston.shwinstonthen i guess its just a mismatch now for some reason17:20:10
@qyliss:fairydust.spaceAlyssa Rossthat's not good…17:21:29
@winston:winston.shwinston I guess they got the hash from nix store prefetch-url rather than fetchpatch 17:21:52

@winston:winston.shwinstonyes thats what i get17:23:35
@winston:winston.shwinstonand UsLE is what prefetch-url gave me, thus the assumption17:23:50
@winston:winston.shwinstonI'll open a PR17:23:56

@winston:winston.shwinstonfinally hit the dependency cycle in sysprof01:10:11
@winston:winston.shwinston looks like sysprof-50.0-lib/libexec/sysprofd gets wrapped on staging, while it doesn't on master 01:11:08
@winston:winston.shwinstonand the wrapper references $out from $lib01:11:24
@winston:winston.shwinstonI don't quite get why since I don't see a diff between staging and master? 🤔01:13:27
@winston:winston.shwinstonmaybe its because of this? https://github.com/nixOS/nixpkgs/commit/a0ee89704420278abb4c28c7b974500b0d19d39c01:24:43
@winston:winston.shwinstonyea I can confirm, reverting this makes sysprof build again01:34:33
@winston:winston.shwinston and adding __structuredAttrs = true to sysprof doesn't magically make it work 😕 01:36:56

@winston:winston.shwinston got nixosTests.gnome to run with https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/526575 02:02:20
@winston:winston.shwinstonalso ran into https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/526570 along the way02:02:37
@winston:winston.shwinstonwhich also seems recent, alpine added the patch last month02:03:01
@grimmauld:m.grimmauld.deGrimmauld (any/all)
In reply to @winston:winston.sh
also ran into https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/526570 along the way
I ran into that building the SDL 3.4.10 update on my shitty aarch64-linux builder, will check the patch and merge in a bit
06:15:56
@jappie:jappie.devjappieseems like nixos-unstable is very close advancing, the last 3 jobs have been stuck for ~1.5h 👀17:45:18
