@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátI don't know; I typically can't immediately see the problem in similar cases. This happens from time to time.18:39:38
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)yeah, it's the json error18:47:40
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)22004f7e8febc6ae6553c44ecd8bf9da9ddc5260 is the first bad commit20:18:32
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát Hmm, I don't get it yet. When I tried hydra-eval-jobs nixos/release-combined.nix -I . it also started to build during the evaluation at some point, so perhaps some IFD is there (as well?) 21:41:24
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)Hmm, I don't think I had any builds, although I also stopped paying attention22:42:09
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)changing the options.setuid default from "true" to "false" fixes it for reasons unknown23:31:12

@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)Going to merge staging-next once this eval finished, unless it all goes horribly wrong; Linux hardened is now broken on master anyway (new kernel bump, hardened patchset hasn't updated yet), but I fixed the one(?) remaining working version ;)23:05:00
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)*eval's builds are mostly settled (which is... probably a few hundred x86_64-darwin builds that seem stuck)23:05:25
@hexa:lossy.networkhexahardened kernel maintenance is a mess on master 23:10:15
@hexa:lossy.networkhexathe way it is right now … the hardened kernel delays regular kernel updates23:10:35

in this case... it's just broken instead
23:12:59
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)but yeah, I agree, they probably shouldn't be modifying the base kernels because the hardened patchset often lags23:13:31
@trofi:matrix.orgtrofishould the package be marked as broken in metadata? (would it help?)23:14:37
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)nah, it doesn't really matter23:15:07
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)(at least, imo)23:15:16
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátIt would be less messy on Hydra.23:18:44
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír ČunátAnd perhaps users would know earlier that their build is bound to fail.23:19:09

Wasn't this decoupled a while ago?
23:25:20
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)I have a patch which patches the patch23:48:44
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsternias you do23:49:31

xinstall-netbsd seems relatively big, but I guess people can patch it on master. (some attempts to fix were said to happen within a day)
23:55:14
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)Ah yeah, that's causing a bunch of failures for darwin23:55:45

@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)hah, raced r-burns: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/13904601:08:32
@lukegb:zxcvbnm.ninjalukegb (he/him)Merged some ffmpeg stuff and some smaller r-burns PRs. I'm hoping this is the last hydra iteration.13:32:04

@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát staging-next was merged now! 11:18:51
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsternineed to get the mandoc update into staging quick then :p14:57:24
@vcunat:matrix.orgVladimír Čunát It's too late, I suspect. But at this point it might be fine to merge to staging-next. 15:06:11
@sternenseemann:systemli.orgsterni yeah I think I will, it just causes a few rebuilds on darwin since it's a nativeBuildInput of some netbsd tool 15:15:47
