@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Though I do remember we used some 3rd party tool10:43:47
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12And there was some super weird drama around it and it was eventually made unfree or something?10:44:06
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Android people... are weird10:44:11
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhb ajs124: https://github.com/ajs124/robotnix-hydra/blob/main/release.nix#L20 did more than just yourself use it? Or was it uploaded to that server for backups? 10:45:18

This drama? https://github.com/nix-community/robotnix/issues/137
10:45:41
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbI seem to remember that this made it harder to make robotnix, or something.10:45:58
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Ah, it was the vendor scripts10:46:15
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Though those may have been the cause too10:46:26
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12(Makes sense as anything related to HW such as the fingerprint is bound to be a blobby mess10:46:45
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12 * (Makes sense as anything related to HW such as the fingerprint is bound to be a blobby mess.)10:46:47
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbhttps://github.com/GrapheneOS-Archive/android-prepare-vendor10:48:13
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbWait, did they take the project offline, and made it closed source?10:48:20
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbIt would be cool with grapheneos support for FP4. But doesn't seem like it will happen10:49:50
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12It will explicitly not happen actually10:56:39
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12FP4 secure boot is broken; they trust test-keys IIRC10:57:03
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Which is why I don't bother signing my images10:57:13
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbDo you know if FP5 is equally broken?10:58:58
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Haven't heard anything regarding that10:59:32
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12But it's such an obvious issue10:59:38
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Surely they must have fixed it...10:59:51
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbBut, GrapheneOS has also publicly stated, that they will not support FP, because it has binary blobs and a short security window at ... ehm.. whoever makes their chips11:00:52
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbBut I guess that might change with the FP5, as it will have.. 13 years of support?11:01:04
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbOR 10? Dunno11:01:08
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu126 from the vendor IIRC11:01:16
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12But they want to stretch it to 7 somehow11:01:29
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbIsn't it more bacause of the IoT SoC? Or did that just go from 3 to 6?11:01:43
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Yup11:01:50
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbDamn, I wanted more. But I guess it's on-par with pixel then11:02:06

ajs124: https://github.com/ajs124/robotnix-hydra/blob/main/release.nix#L20 did more than just yourself use it? Or was it uploaded to that server for backups?
was uploaded because it was the easiest way.
iirc at some point, 1-2 other people used it as well.
11:02:14
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12We'll see if Pixels actually get that11:02:19
