oak 🏳️🌈♥️ | I've been doing LineageOS-19.1 builds and I'm using the build as my daily driver on my phone | 10:33:28 |
oak 🏳️🌈♥️ | I'd like to do few contributions but I'm quite short on time as I have two different clients now at the moment for who I am working for | 10:34:42 |

tsuneko-sama | Hello guys, first time I talk here, quick question, is it possible to build graphene os and add trebuchet launcher as main launcher? if so does anybody have done something similar? Recently I buy my self a pixel to try robotnix as I am a nix user from a while and tried graphene os for the first time, but did not like the default launcher as lacks too many features that I used to use to organize my apps, like hiding them in the drawer so they would not clutter everything, etc. Thanks in advance, cool project! | 13:38:06 |

@amanda:camnet.site | I'm considering using robotnix to build some stupid-simple os images for some old phones I have laying around to be used as ip webcameras, would that be fesible to do? And what "flavor" should I use for it? I think I could get away with vanilla since most of my old phones are pixels, but figured I'd ask | 14:59:57 |
atemu12 | Amanda (she/her): If you just want simple, plain old AOSP without google might be best | 15:00:57 |
atemu12 | That should work fine | 15:02:24 |
atemu12 | Note that Robotnix is effectively unmaintained at this point | 15:02:33 |
atemu12 | You might also consider using mobile NixOS | 15:02:54 |
@amanda:camnet.site | I've not really got the spoons to figure out how to add compat for all my old phones to mobile-nixos | 15:03:29 |
@amanda:camnet.site | so something like robotnix would be nice | 15:03:38 |
atemu12 | I have no experience but it but if you really just want the camera, that'd be simpler to manage | 15:03:44 |
@amanda:camnet.site | I use mobile-nixos on a pinephone with a keyboard case I have to use as a PDA-type thing, but there's not a lot of pre-built device support for a lot of phones | 15:04:49 |
@amanda:camnet.site | So I figured robotnix would be better since it's just building a variant of what they were already running | 15:05:22 |
@amanda:camnet.site | Also robotnix has a commit from jan 15th updating microg, so I'm not sure what you mean by "unmaintained" | 15:05:50 |
atemu12 | Pixel XL and Pixel 2 are in the "not abandoned, but not supported" Tier (whatever that means) | 15:05:59 |
atemu12 | In reply to @amanda:camnet.site Also robotnix has a commit from jan 15th updating microg, so I'm not sure what you mean by "unmaintained" No bumps to any flavour | 15:06:50 |
atemu12 | For your use-case that might be fine though | 15:07:00 |

@amanda:camnet.site | I assume there's nothing stopping you from flashing back to the pixel images if you want to after using robotnix? | 13:02:09 |
atemu12 | Amanda (she/her): Not that I'm aware | 16:35:18 |
atemu12 | Unless you manage to hard-brick it :D | 16:35:33 |
@amanda:camnet.site | Who, me? PErish the thought! ~hides her Nexus 7 (2012) She accidentally flashed with a 2013 image~ | 17:00:40 |
