| * hi all, i tried to run the example from the readme (
Any help? | 19:55:43 | |
| huh | 20:24:39 | |
| that shouldn't happen | 20:24:43 | |
| gonna try to reproduce | 20:24:47 | |
| are you sure that it's not an OOM issue? That part of the build is quite RAM hungry (needs >30GiB) | 20:25:31 | |
| ah that's possible, i was trying with only 8gb, will try on another machine :+1: | 21:28:25 | |
| ahh yeah that's not enough ;) | 21:31:44 | |

| yeah it was the missing RAM, as it was so early it seemed like a missing dependency ... but more than 32GiB is just insane, some years ago it was possible to build android with 8GiB and some swap. Thank you for the quick help! | 19:21:31 | |
| happy to hear that! | 19:21:45 | |
| Has anyone tried to build the emulator (https://wiki.lineageos.org/emulator) and run it? (device: sdk_phone_x86_64) | 19:22:53 | |
| Oh yeah, supporting that is on my to-do list | 19:23:20 | |
what happens if you just put in device = sdk_phone_x86_64? | 19:23:33
| it's building ... will report back tomorrow ;) | 19:24:27 | |
| nice! | 19:33:52 | |
| which target are you building? | 19:33:57 | |
* which nix derivation from config.build are you building? | 19:34:12

In reply to @cyclopentane:aidoskyneen.euI fixed it earlier this year, so I think it should work? | 11:38:08
| Might need to set the device arch though | 11:39:51 | |

built successfully. | 14:38:33
@volth:matrix.org there's an emulator output | 16:08:00
| It's a wrapper that directly runs the emulator | 16:08:19 | |
| With correct image and all | 16:08:31 | |
| not actually, but it is a good point to start:
| 17:14:43 | |
| @volth:matrix.org yeah that means it's the wrong arch | 17:28:48 | |
It runs! On the screen there is only sort of a screensaver with 3 circles (https://imgur.com/arsGi9L.png), while adb shell does work. And the guest works very slow as though it emulates a foreign architecture. probably -enable-kvm is required somewhere | 20:27:12
