@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesOh alright21:34:44
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesI've build something like this before 👍️21:34:59
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesBooting21:41:04
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesno problemo21:41:06
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfnice. I'll build another image real quick which uncomments RELEASE_TYPE21:41:47
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfBut yeah, definitely suspecting that APEX flattening is causing this somehow21:42:02
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfoh, forgot I had already started building that image, its at 95%, so I'll have it ready soon21:42:34

22:18:57
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesso its APEX?22:19:00
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfyep, looks that way22:19:15
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesWhat is APEX even? why do we need to do something with it?22:19:25
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrffor the detailed information: https://source.android.com/devices/tech/ota/apex22:19:57
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfbut briefly, it's a way they're splitting up the android system into independently upgradable components called APEX packages22:20:27
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesI see22:20:41
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesSo what would you recommend me to do if i want to use robotnix with forklineageos?22:20:55
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesis it safe to just comment out the APEX stuff robotnix handles?22:21:08
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfBut what most android ROMs do (including LineageOS) is "flatten" the APEX packages so that they're just part of the system filesystem tree, and no longer independently upgradable22:22:02
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesbut ForkLineageOS does not?22:22:19
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfYes, just commenting out those lines would work.22:22:20
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfYeah, it doesn't look like they do.22:22:37
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzes👍️ daniel, Seriously THANKS A TON for all this help the past 3 or so days <322:23:01
@kranzes:matrix.orgkranzesfinally figured out this mystery 22:23:13
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrf When you're using APEX packages, the generateKeysScript will create a bunch more keys for each of the APEX packages 22:23:15
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrf So just make sure you've run the generateKeysScript at least once when you've commented out signing.apex.enable 22:24:01
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfyou'll end up with a bunch of keys in your keysdir that look like com.android.*22:24:26
@danielrf:matrix.orgdanielrfBut yeah, besides that you should be good to go22:24:41
