adamcstephens | for ceph | 16:04:11 |
adamcstephens | merged 6.9.0 into master. | 16:23:07 |
adamcstephens | I'll have to revisit the tests again, unfortunately, as I seem to have broken ofborg's ability to run the tests | 16:23:28 |
adamcstephens | Which makes me sad, as the feedback cycle on the tests is slow. There's something deep in the image definitions that cause them to be rebuilt from any changes to the nixpkgs tree, and I couldn't isolate it last time I tried. | 16:24:58 |
adamcstephens | I suspect it's the change to the standard image format which was applied to the metadata image, which is odd because the metadata image is just a few simple files. | 16:26:14 |

adamcstephens | does anyone in here use our incus web UI setup? someone on Discord was asking about it | 23:10:41 |

rungmc | FWIW, I also ran into a stuck container issue (persisting through reboot) with non-LTS on ZFS at about the same time you guys did but, with a very useful sample size of one non-ephemeral affected instance (out of a dozen or so) and no ability to reproduce, I didn't take great pains to suss out what was going on nor can I really be sure it's even the same root issue. Seemed an awful lot like if Incus hit some sort of roadblock with networking it'd just hang the container and hold everything hostage for quite some time, though. | 19:36:37 |
rungmc | Yoinking the entire devices section ultimately sorted it and I didn't run into any further issues literally just pasting the whole thing back in. I would hazard to guess whatever I saw was something related to bridged VLANs or proxy ports rather than stemming from ZFS. | 19:41:33 |
adamcstephens | My initial testing is showing that my stuck container issue may be gone with incus 6.9 | 19:51:57 |
adamcstephens | I read through the merged PR list twice with no idea how though ;: | 19:52:18 |
adamcstephens | * I read through the merged PR list twice with no idea what would have improved it | 19:52:31 |
rungmc | I have no idea, it seems like problems hit kind of weirdly in between a bunch of other stuff. Mid-January was after the end of year NixOS shenanigans... kind of the middle of Incus 6.8's run... I want to say after QEMU 9.2 got sorted... before the 6.12 kernel hit unstable... just some random flake.lock update appropos of nothing assuming you weren't seeing this prior to mentioning it in here. | 20:45:05 |
rungmc | But for sure I experienced it around the 15th. | 20:45:39 |
adamcstephens | Yeah, I did sit on it for a bit before posting here | 20:54:10 |
adamcstephens | not sure how long... | 20:54:16 |
adamcstephens | I've yet to experience the problem on another machine, which runs LTS, so I assumed it was non-LTS related | 20:54:49 |
adamcstephens | both machines are on stable | 20:55:01 |
adamcstephens | * both machines are on stable 24.11 | 20:55:04 |

hexa | what comment? 😄 | 17:23:36 |
adamcstephens | Heh | 18:59:06 |
adamcstephens | Should probably add that to the template | 18:59:26 |
hexa | should also format the template with nixfmt | 19:31:56 |
hexa | or maybe you did and I'm silly | 19:32:10 |
hexa | * or maybe you did and my brain is wrong | 19:32:18 |
adamcstephens | i think i may have, and if not i would have thought the bulk formatting got it | 19:38:32 |
