purepani | and the second I sent that I figured out the answer, being that dotnet 4.8 only works on windows | 19:51:30 |
6pak | yup, mono might work though | 19:52:31 |

Whovian9369 | I ran into this again - Why do so many people have paths in their repo with spaces in it?! 😅
Guess I'm asking again, any tips? | 20:43:00 |
Corngood | In reply to @whovian9369:matrix.org I ran into this again - Why do so many people have paths in their repo with spaces in it?! 😅 Guess I'm asking again, any tips? Did you mean to link to something? I guess you're talking about nuget-to-json working in paths with spaces? | 21:23:52 |
Whovian9369 | Yeah, I'm talking about that | 21:24:06 |
Whovian9369 | (nuget2json and not nuget2nix, whoopsies) | 21:24:17 |
Corngood | Ah yeah, I meant to fix that... I'll take a look | 21:26:46 |
Whovian9369 | Please and thank you! | 21:31:14 |
Corngood | Oh, I misunderstood the problem (https://matrix.to/#/!bxVOQwsVoHhZcmNDGw:nixos.org/$KnL6pWRuimEgc9GUYpdlLgzRZP5DsobZi0wRoClxHls?via=nixos.org&via=matrix.org&via=nixos.dev) It's not actually anything to do with nuget-to-json, it's just buildDotnetModule.
I think you might be able to set __structuredAttrs = true; and have projectFile be treated as an array, which will stop the string splitting.
| 21:40:09 |
Whovian9369 | I'll try that, thank you! | 21:43:13 |

Whovian9369 | I'm currently trying to get https://github.com/puggsoy/GMS-Explorer working, so it's my current guinea pig. | 21:45:26 |
Corngood | What did you set `projectFile` to? | 21:50:34 |
Whovian9369 | projectFile = "GMS Explorer/GMS Explorer.csproj"; | 21:55:37 |
Whovian9369 | Same thing happens with projectFile = "GMS Explorer.sln"; | 21:55:45 |
Corngood | That's an old style project, so it probably doesn't use nuget dependencies. It might not build with the dotnet sdk | 22:57:42 |
Whovian9369 | Oh that's interesting and a good catch, thanks. I'll have to experiment with it, I suppose. | 23:04:25 |
Whovian9369 | I'll also have to retry rune-factory-4-special-mbundle-extractor later too then | 23:04:45 |
Whovian9369 | Had to comment out dotnetBuildFlags and dotnetInstallFlags, but yeah you're correct.

Whovian9369 | So it looks like this is a Framework project and not a Core one, damn. | 23:10:12 |
Whovian9369 | Thanks for the thoughts, Corngood!

Matt Sturgeon | Any ideas on https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/420121 ?
Getting reports of a build failure, which shows up on hydra too, but I can't reproduce the issue even on the same commit as the hydra failure...
Even stranger, I can't see any errors in the logs... | 21:08:17 |
Corngood | I had this happen to me locally today. It must be intermittent | 22:03:23 |
Corngood | Unfortunately I have no new info.
Is this normal?

Corngood | I'll run some rebuilds to try to get more info and see how common it is. Mine actually failed on nexusmods-app, not -unfree. | 22:08:47 |
