Next meetup is going to be a bit different, because someone has offered to host the meetup at their company!

But I can describe the vibe as it was last meetings.

They were hosted in a hotel lobby, and it has been relatively quiet so far. There is a little bit of music in the background, but not nearly enough impair being able to understand each other.

Most people order something to drink (alcohol or not), and some attendees buy something to snack, last time someone bought tacos, and other bought some french fries.

Most people don't bring their laptop. In fact, last time was the first time someone did! And I think it was a success, we were able to help them resolve an issue in their Nix code.

Conversations are super casual. Often it's someone speaking passionately about some project that they did with Nix, with everyone else listening attentively and asking questions. Eventually the conversation shifts to some other topic, and then we spend some time on that.

The meetups take a few hours, but we've had people leave earlier, that's no problem at all.

It's been super relaxed. I've felt super comfortable with everyone, they're all very nice and respectful.

Like I mentioned, the next meetup with be at an office, but I think the atmosphere will be mostly the same. Although, it might now be easier to show our laptop screens, so I expect we will have more of that.
