I think creating walls and barriers to contributions is always a relevant question in a FOSS community

- Getting everybody to approve two new members
- Me using the @ room in that channel to easily ping all members and ask for a new meeting time after the member were accepted
- Me lamenting about the team not working and drafting the announcement to dissolve it

inviting bigots, like srid, who was banned, into your community is a massive contribution barrier to the people they are bigoted against.
