momo | In reply to @rob.sliwi:matrix.org Seems like your build host is simply filled to the max with its disk space? Disko can be downloaded normally, but I don't understand why the subsequent operations are performed directly in the ISO instead of after creating partitions with Disko. My host has 8GB RAM and a 60GB hard drive, so logically, whether using tmpfs or the hard drive, resources shouldn't be exhausted. | 04:27:30 |
magic_rb | This happens while its fetching disko, you dont have enough space in the nix store | 06:27:42 |

Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | ok so I want to have an mdraid-mirrored EFI partition | 12:09:44 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | the mdraid examples both create a partition table on top of the pool, which would most definitely make this not wor | 12:10:56 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | * | 12:10:58 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | can I simply change the content in my disko.devices.mdadm.x to a filesystem instead of gpt? | 12:11:44 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | I will try that | 12:11:47 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | it checks successfully at least 🤔 | 12:14:29 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | I'll try to skip the partition table thing both on the mirrored boot and on my striped swap, hope that'll just work | 12:15:01 |
lassulus | did you check the boot-raid1 example? | 12:15:09 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | oh, I didn't! | 12:15:51 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | the examples are a bit hard to navigate, haha | 12:15:56 |
lassulus | well so many different ways to do it | 12:16:04 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | but I actually guessed right it seems 😌 | 12:16:52 |
lassulus | there was also some problem with mirrored EFI with systemd-boot. But I don't exactly remember what the problem was | 12:17:08 |
lassulus | maybe installing it, because the partition is not detected correctly | 12:17:23 |
lassulus | but it works with grub afair | 12:17:27 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | hmmm, interesting | 12:17:48 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | I'll see what happens | 12:17:51 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | I would like to use systemd-boot, but it's not a must | 12:18:12 |
lassulus | maybe it was fixed in the years, or there is a way to ignore the check in the systemd-install command | 12:24:00 |
lassulus | * maybe it was fixed in the years, or there is a way to ignore the check in the bootctl install command | 12:24:35 |
lassulus | but as disko doesn't run bootctl it's not configurable in it for now | 12:24:53 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | nope, I definitely hit that | 12:25:01 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | well I'm running nixos-install | 12:25:25 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | as in, as opposed to disko-install | 12:25:52 |
Sylvie (They/She) 🏳️⚧️ | File system "/dev/md127" is not located on a partitioned block device.
