| zekjur: I’ve reproduced the failure:
| 13:33:02 | |
| I’m not really sure what you are going to do with it though, because it is a segfault, so you will probably want to whip out gdb and then, um... get debug builds of CPython and all the packages involved that have C components? | 13:33:57 | |
Actually, you don’t even need to run any of the tests, just the collection (run pytest --co -q in the shell after going through all the phases) segfaults | 13:36:10
| thank you! that gets me a core dump at least (after ulimit -c unlimited) :) | 13:38:14 | |
ok, actually, I am getting a meaningful stacktrace even with a regular build. It’s in the protobuf destruction, and the offending Python module is onnxruntime/capi/onnxruntime_pybind11_state.so | 13:38:30
| yes. i’ll post the stack trace to the bug | 13:38:48 | |
| * yes. i’ll post the stack trace to the bug: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/461064#issuecomment-3536499845 | 13:40:16 | |
| NixOS even already includes debug symbols for most involved packages :) i updated the stack trace with symbols. but mweinelt already commented saying the problem is multiple versions of protobuf in Nix, and it’s being addressed already | 13:43:46 | |

| I found a bunch of unmaintained eclipse plugins that fail because the download side was also archived. What's the "nixpkgs" way to address this: Update the urls to the apache archive site and mark it as insecure or just drop them? | 14:18:36 | |
| The roboter video I've mentioned before. The part about the roboter I helped build is at 40:16 https://www.srf.ch/play/tv/einstein/video/einstein-bei-den-robotern?urn=urn:srf:video:9823d374-df36-440c-b632-0a3e63d649bb | 14:19:00 | |

Sorry for the quality, I wasn't signed in on Matrix (installer image) and wanted to return the USB stick. | 19:16:55

In reply to @mfrischknecht:matrix.orgAh, did you do nix run github:ners/trilby there? In the trilby image the CLI tool is already present so you can just run trilby install. | 20:33:35
| It is waiting for Darwin resources (MacOS). Id you don’t care for those then you are good to go. There just aren’t enough builders for Darwin to test things in a timely fashion as far as I know. | 20:33:43 | |
| I‘ll bring my own USB stick tomorrow. :) | 20:33:45 | |
| Ah I didn’t imagine so many fingers but more fists that move into position😁 I just remember another video you can share if it is available. The maglev thing that moves very fast, from Beckhoff IIRC? | 20:39:53 | |

| ah, thanks! i just figured out that yesterday, i looked at this PR on a mac, and didn’t realize you could scroll down to reveal more checks, because macOS hides scroll bars by default! today i look at it on linux, see the scroll bar, and immediately the whole thing makes a lot more sense 😅 | 07:10:57 | |
| does anyone know what the bottleneck is for darwin builders? is it money? availability? hosting? admin? something else? | 07:12:00 | |
| https://youtu.be/0c73CB6t7ZM?si=HylxIFVLfD-Jyox- Cant seem to find the one where it’s moving extremely fast. | 07:32:58 | |
