@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusI will see if I can get native compilation going03:02:40
@samueldr:matrix.orgsamueldrthat's part of the great debate about what platforms are03:02:53
@samueldr:matrix.orgsamueldrit's an overload of two discrete things currently03:03:04
@samueldr:matrix.orgsamueldr"what it should work on", and "what it's known to work on in Nixpkgs"03:03:15
@samueldr:matrix.orgsamueldr the latter maybe should be "what it should work on" 03:03:40
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusplatforms vs. broken03:03:42
@samueldr:matrix.orgsamueldr * the latter maybe should be "what it should work on in Nixpkgs" 03:03:48
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusbut yes03:03:50
@samueldr:matrix.orgsamueldrand both are right, both are wrong, depending on what you do or want03:04:11

@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezarius misuzu: I'm looking at your visionfive2's uboot "upstream" which I assume is a tree based on upstream uboot and not upstream vendor uboot? 03:43:06
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariushence why there is no Ethernet on it :-[03:43:11
@raitobezarius:matrix.orgraitobezariusit'd be nice if we could customize vendor uboot03:43:23

syslinux seems to be x86_64-linux only?
yeah so syslinux is x86_64 only but u-boot emulates syslinux is how it works

@artemis:arty.chatartemisu-boot also emulates a subset of pxelinux which i have used before. see https://artemis.sh/2022/05/16/everfrees-armferno.html#third-circle---pxeboot but that depends on u-boot being able to work with your network chip. no idea if it supports the vf2 networking. i am sure there are better ways but thats the one ive done before08:14:34

No, I also stumbled on syslinux while trying to go nixos-anywhere on RISC-V.
