Hey Marketing team!

NixCon was over few days ago. There is some work that needs to be done from our side as a follow up after the conference:

• Social posts: IdaBzo did a really good job with all the posts. thank you for all your work.
• Helping (if requested) with Andruil statement from the Foundation and/or NixCon organizers.
• This months newsletter is going to be full of awesome videos.

Guillaume Desforges and Ilan Joselevich (Kranzes) and ronef were working tirelessly on the survey announcement which should be our soon (if its not already out :)). Thank you for all the hard work. I'd like to remind (and help you) - as everything is still more or less fresh - to write down ideas/suggestions/feedback for the next survey.

A initial team which will modernize our nixos.org was formed: jonge, avocadoom and me. Current baby steps are in main branch which will eventually become the default branch of the repo once the work is done. I'm writing down the plan and objectives so we can hopefully attract more help going forward. jonge & avocadoom welcome to the Nix marketing team :)

A big funding campaign (to fund work on Nix) is going to be launched at the end of the year. Out team needs to prepare the outreach material (videos/graphics/), review posts/statements and prepare social postings.

I would love to share all the new enthusiasm I have after the NixCon. I'm sad I haven't met all of the team in person, but I hope there is going to be an opportunity for it soon (eg. Zurich, NixCon North America).

As I write this I'm on my way home and I'm not sure I'm going to be home by the time Marketing meeting starts. I propose to move it to tomorrow same time, but I'm open to any other suggestion.

Finally home. Here is the timeline:

• Ron asked few times already to thank sponsors in a social posts.
• Problem was we didn't have sponsors list nor sponsors were visible on the website.
• The social posting were postponed until above two things happen. Same criteria we did for talks.
• As NixCon was getting closer we were under time pressure to finally get this done. Luckily sponsons were on the website. And IdaBzo and pxc volunteered to do it. At that time they were added to the "NixCon Darmstadt 2023" channel to remove me as being the proxy.
• We had a few days delay also on our end also but IdaBzo took over the task herself.

As IdaBzo was taking over the actual posting I'd let her describe the process and the selection of the text there.
