lennart | maybe it would be worth it to test mixpost for NixOS marketing? https://mixpost.app/ | 18:53:43 |

infinisil | No not that, that's just for bulk email sending I'm pretty sure | 18:59:57 |
hexa | blargh … it was buffer | 19:03:06 |
infinisil | Yes that! | 19:03:20 |
infinisil | Actually I'll just scratch Twitter, so just BlueSky, Mastodon and LinkedIn. Sponsors can ask explicitly if they want to also have shoutouts other platforms (and then we can decide if we want that). | 19:06:51 |
lennart | ah thanks you both | 19:31:33 |

@idabzo:matrix.org | yup, all links are correct
In addition to that, we can also post on YouTube (Community tab). It’s not a very common practice, but if any of the sponsors would like an announcement there, we can make it happen. | 06:39:51 |
@idabzo:matrix.org | correct, that's for email campaigns and newsletters | 06:41:03 |
@idabzo:matrix.org | correct | 06:41:15 |
lennart | IdaBzo: are you satisfied with buffer? currently looking for options at work | 07:39:46 |
@idabzo:matrix.org | I have the most experience with Hootsuite, SocialBee, CoSchedule, Sprout Social, and Buffer.
Honestly speaking, these days the core functionality across all of them is pretty much the same, and the UX is also very similar. So if you find a pricing model that suits you best - go for it.
I’d even go so far as to say that most competitors are now trying to offer almost identical features across CRM, SEO, SEP, and social scheduling tools. They all feel the same, in my opinion. The key is to avoid platforms that require weeks of onboarding - people should be productive from day one. | 09:16:12 |
lennart | Thanks for the insights! | 10:34:37 |

raboof | if nobody knows I'll publish the draft later today and we can do LinkedIn later - I do think it's a really valuable channel to keep active (as much as I dislike that we're depending so much on a few large players as an industry...) | 10:25:04 |
@idabzo:matrix.org | yes, please, I will do linkedin after you | 13:20:36 |
