| OK I think I figured it out (but you're not going to like it): it seems the buffer 'retry' functionality fails if the post was scheduled for the past. So I updated the scheduled date and then I could send the toots, https://chaos.social/@nixos_org/ 🎉 | 13:34:28 | |
| Nice! I guess that makes sense... thanks! | 13:35:09 | |

| Eventbrite is quite cool unless you have to deal with a waiting list. Lu.ma seems small and relatively new. I also know about joinmobilizon.org (funded by NLnet and NGI-0), though it's not very popular. Sometimes, organizers use Facebook events for the same purpose. I’m not sure if I can achieve anything in this regard, but I can try to find out if Meetup makes any effort to support non-profits—if you give me the green light. | 19:28:31 | |
| oh, thanks! I've missed that :/ | 19:28:50 | |

| @tomberek Would you like to order more necklaces for Planet Nix? Sorry for not replying earlier, I was mainly playing games | 01:33:30 | |
| The shipping time should be still more than enough | 01:34:03 | |
| Those were super popular at NixCon. I've also started to see them "in the wild" at other unrelated conferences as well, making it even easier to find fellow Nix fanatics. So.... yes, absolutely. | 04:43:58 | |

In reply to @tomberek:matrix.orgCould you provide an address that is convenient for the event? | 04:58:12
| I'll check available couriers | 04:58:41 | |
| And how many pieces? | 04:58:54 | |
| That would be neat! | 09:04:54 | |
In reply to @aleksana:mozilla.org@tomberek:matrix.org: if you want, you can have them shipped to my address so you don't have to pack them in your luggage. | 17:20:12
In reply to @djacu:matrix.orgI'm not coming to the event. What's your address? | 17:25:35

| [maintaining the Nix/NixOS commercial support page] Hey, I would like to raise an issue related to our Nix/NixOS webpage. We have a subpage for commercial organizations that provide professional support: https://nixos.org/community/commercial-support/ I’d like to discuss whether it makes sense to maintain this page. As you may have noticed, some parts need updating, such as outdated logos and organizations that are no longer active. Personally, I’m in favor of moving it to a more community-curated place, similar to what other communities have done—an easily editable table on GitHub that can be updated as needed (like this one: https://github.com/erkmos/haskell-companies ). While we want to give exposure to organizations active in our community and showcase that Nix/NixOS is widely used, this change would also reduce the burden of repetitive tasks on our web team. What are your thoughts? | 22:53:30 | |

| Overall, I'm in favor of the migration of this page to a repository as the addition/removal of a company from the website should be an SC decision. I had thoughts, but now I have more questions than thoughts. And I think answering some of these questions can help shape what the repository looks like.

| I agree having outdated/inactive orgs in there is bad. I'm not sure I see how moving the page elsewhere helps, though - I found it fairly easy to update, and we'd (collectively) want to make sure it's up-to-date even if it's elsewhere. Most updates should be uncontroversial so while I suppose the SC should have the final word I'm not sure we should put them in the critical path. | 08:23:15 | |
| I can do a pass over the page and create issues / ping people / fix stuff that seems outdated | 08:23:57 | |
| found 2 wrong links and 1 wrong logo, pinged people. I didn't see obvious signs that orgs were no longer active, do you know of any? | 09:10:44 | |
| One more concern that I have is that we have the logo section under /donate which is to my understanding for partners and we have this page where people do not pay anything. While this is fine for me, I wondered if this raised any concern with partmers. | 11:17:21 | |

| Anyone from flox in here who can just ACK this? Your logo on the commercial support site is outdated. https://github.com/NixOS/nixos-homepage/pull/1667 | 13:15:26 | |
