Ok , I understand now it has been being being devekoped for 20 years, flakes change the game. It’s now time to upgrade this bit of philosophy from Haskell .I want nix to be successful no matter what the cost.

I agree that Nix does not have to "avoid success at any cost". Unlike Haskell, Nix is very simple. We can look at code from 5, 10, 20 years from now and understand it/run it. Also it's not that much about research anymore. So Nix does not have the same issues and questions.
We can take what Nix is now and make it successful.
