@cryolitia:matrix.orgPukNgae Cryolitia🏳️‍⚧️Our NixCN community are trying to make an e-ink screen badge based on this as a Nix accessory for use at conferences.01:36:19

curious what is the reason for import restriction? because they ripped off others IP without paying? would explain how they are so cheap
The news circulating here is that it's because they've developed the SG2044, which boasts sufficiently powerful AI computing capabilities.
01:39:15
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforever yeah sg2044 would be a fantastic build box if you could get any 01:40:10
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforever(no you can't get any)01:40:27

@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeversg2380 would be great if it was actually in production (it wasn't, basically cancelled due to the sanctions)01:41:22
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeverand now the number 3 that actually exists is the k301:41:36
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeverat this point i'm tempted to say "eh whatever", patch out vector support in the dts, and run it as an asymmetric 16-core, and see if it works better than 8 cores as a builder. .... but i haven't bought a k3 board lol01:42:40

speaking of how is the mainline stuff going for dp1000
It is said that DP1000 supports the generic RISC-V image, and NDA for more infos
01:47:38
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforever"generic"01:47:59
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforever what generic riscv image? deepin? 01:48:13
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeveranyway mainline support for dp1000 is currently "not yet"01:50:31
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforever* anyway mainline support for dp1000 is currently "almost nothing yet"01:50:41

@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeveri have some very harsh words for whoever dared call this "mainline" kernel01:54:12
@cryolitia:matrix.orgPukNgae Cryolitia🏳️‍⚧️( ≧Д≦)01:55:42
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeveri don't know why you're making that face but i'm serious01:56:20
@cryolitia:matrix.orgPukNgae Cryolitia🏳️‍⚧️I don't know more about it rather that the news, and......mixed fellings01:57:31
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeverbecause it's wrong!01:58:26
@dramforever:matrix.orgdramforeverand you can't expect to just redefine "mainline" in a headline01:58:40
@cryolitia:matrix.orgPukNgae Cryolitia🏳️‍⚧️I remember now! They called the Revy' mainline "mainline," not the Linus' mainline.02:00:44
