@andreas.schraegle:helsinki-systems.deajs124why shouldn't we put secrets in runcommand? or do you mean the output of runcommand?21:20:06
@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.orgin the actual command being executed?21:26:13
@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.orgI would expect secrets to be passed in via a file or something, not part of the actual command being executed21:29:47
@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.org ajs124: just to confirm, do you have a runcommand hook where the actual program executed is a secret? 21:30:57
@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.org * ajs124: just to confirm, do you have a runcommand hook where the actual program and its arguments executed is a secret? 21:31:07

@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.orgdo you think it is a mistake to skip disabling this tab?21:32:42
@andreas.schraegle:helsinki-systems.deajs124skip disabling meaning always enabling it?21:33:55
@andreas.schraegle:helsinki-systems.deajs124it's probably fine. people be running hydra, so they know what they got themselves into.21:34:14
@andreas.schraegle:helsinki-systems.deajs124which remindes me, hydra-eval-jobs started segfaulting for us yesterday and I haven't figured out why, yet.21:34:31
@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.orgyeah, always enabling it. if you use runcommand you get the tab21:34:35

@grahamc:nixos.org@grahamc:nixos.orgI'm thinking about adding the sha256 hash of a path's input to the "revision" of a PathInput. Right now it is just a timestamp which causes problems if you evaluate the same path input twice in the same second and it has changed15:51:29
