rhelmot | is there a good way to set a set of default environment variables that dbus-activated services will inherit? not really systemd but this is the closest I could find... | 22:21:32 |

rhelmot | also for that matter is there some mechanism I'm not aware of for dbus-activated services to be restarted on system rebuiild? | 01:40:32 |

Lily Foster | In reply to @rhelmot:matrix.org is there a good way to set a set of default environment variables that dbus-activated services will inherit? not really systemd but this is the closest I could find... i mean dbus-broker uses systemd transient units to start services iirc, so switching to that would work | 11:27:51 |

Lily Foster | more seriously, either the services should have corresponding systemd units if they need special config or you can probably just set env vars on the dbus-daemon service itself as well (though dbus-broker could be an actual solution in your case too idk -- though uh i will admit i find dbus-activated system services without a corresponding systemd unit already a bit of a weird circumstance so idk the context you're in) | 11:30:53 |

Lily Foster | In reply to @rhelmot:matrix.org The context is, unfortunately, FreeBSD yeah i guess env vars on the dbus-daemon service itself then maybe? i'm not even sure those are inherited though | 15:46:53 |
