I haven't dared to flash my FP4 yet. But I still want to see if the prebuilt browser thing works. :D

Right now I'm just investigating if LineageOS 21.0 would be "easily" doable. But at the same time, I also just want to nuke all the building of chromium
I just pushed my WIP https://github.com/Atemu/robotnix/tree/drop-unmaintained-chromium if you want to continue that

@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbFair enough :) I would offer more help, but I'm most likely just in the honeymoon phase with robotnix. So I hope I can contribute some in the future, but then again, I can't really promise much. 12:48:21

Appreciated! Looks nice. Wouldn't it make sense to just remove entirely ? If people want a source built chromium, then it could be another repo. :D
12:49:45
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12It doesn't hurt us and people could still use it to build an older version of android for something12:50:16
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12We still have those around too12:50:24
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbOh true :)12:50:49
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbIt's always the pros/cons of such a project. How far back does one want to be compatible, and when to just expect people to checkout a specific revision of the sourcecode anyways.12:51:36
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbLuckily Nix makes it easy to checkout a specific revision, and then just built that one :D12:51:47
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Yeah that's also true12:52:00
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhb(which is also why I just considered removing it :D )12:53:01
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12I like to keep deprecated stuff around until it causes actual maintenance issues though and drop it at that point12:53:04
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbMakes sense :) if it doesn't bother then it can just live by itself :)12:54:40
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbRunning the update script is pretty not-fun12:56:39
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbIt seems like it doesn't take long to get rate-limited by Google12:56:48
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Nope12:59:33
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12Local mirrors are quite helpful12:59:44
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12I've also thought of using the mirror on github before13:00:09
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbIs there a official mirror on Github for it?13:01:10
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbBUt Github also rate limits at some point. But might be better13:01:21
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12https://github.com/aosp-mirror/13:01:36
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12But I just saw that it was archived?13:01:44
@atemu12:matrix.orgatemu12It still appears to receive updates though...13:02:17
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbYeah I saw that earlier as well13:02:51
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbNot sure what that means, or how it works.. :D13:03:02
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbMaybe new repos are not added to it?13:03:08
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhbI should just create a loop for this update script with a sleep in-between.13:42:40
@eyjhb:eyjhb.dkeyJhb BUt I'm not sure it will ever finish 13:42:51
