garbas | I've logged in to the vault.nixos.org. Do we have access to previous passwords? I don't think I see them. | 07:47:02 |
garbas | But if it is hard to migrate don't bother. I'll recreate those passowrds. maybe a good time to rotate them. | 07:48:00 |

aciceri | Hey! We had a one-day meetup in Milan last week (a big success) and we are already organizing another one. For reference this was the one we organized. Instead in a few weeks there will be an evening event consisting of two talks about two real Nix use cases (here our meetup).
Would it be possible being shared on socials? Who should I ask in this case? Can I simply leave links here in the room?
Thank you all 😀

@idabzo:matrix.org | Hey, I'm glad the first meetup was a success and that you're planning another one. I'm currently responsible for NixOS social media channels, and I didn't announce the first meetup. The reason is simple: I didn't find it here: https://discourse.nixos.org/c/events/, which is my primary source of information! :D
could you create a post in this category? then I will be able to schedule posts on social media | 12:55:39 |

aciceri | IdaBzo: nice to meet you! Sorry for answering some days late, I haven't received the notification I believe.
Anyway we actually added the event about 1 month before, do you need more notice?
We also recently added the new one, here the link.

@idabzo:matrix.org | Oh, sorry, I wasn't up to date with our new events' etiquette. I've added them to the social media planner; the messages will go out on Monday. Thanks for your help! | 09:31:18 |

Mic92 | Hi. Where can I get absolute numbers for the Nix community Survey 2023? | 13:05:00 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | In reply to @joerg:thalheim.io Hi. Where can I get absolute numbers for the Nix community Survey 2023? You want the raw data? | 13:26:13 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | What exactly do you need and I can export it for you? | 13:28:10 |
Mic92 | Ilan Joselevich (Kranzes): Just the numbers for how many people use "Flakes and related commands": Yes, No and N/A Thanks! | 15:16:23 |
Mic92 | This graph doesn't really tell me how many people said no: https://discourse.nixos.org/t/nix-community-survey-2023-results/33124 | 15:17:46 |
Mic92 | It's mixed with N/A | 15:17:54 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | Download Survey_2023_Nix_Community_Survey_2023.pdf | 15:22:57 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | There were multiple questions mentioning flakes but this seemed the most relevant | 15:23:18 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | If you want I can dm you the entire survey responses | 15:23:45 |
Mic92 | In reply to @kranzes:matrix.org If you want I can dm you the entire survey responses Thanks! So removing N/A, it's actually 83% for yes and 16% for no. | 15:31:58 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | Download Survey_2023_Nix_Community_Survey_2023-10.pdf | 15:33:30 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | Yeah, here's the one exported without the N/A | 15:33:39 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | if other people lazy to do math later | 15:33:50 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | In reply to @kranzes:matrix.org If you want I can dm you the entire survey responses (Not all the questions were displayed in that discourse post) | 15:36:35 |
@kranzes:matrix.org | Also there's #survey:nixos.org for the new survey, if you want to suggest new questions for this year's survey | 15:39:29 |

tomberek | IdaBzo: Would be good to get more visibility on the 24.05 release manager role, something like this?
There is still a need for help with the 24.05 Release https://discourse.nixos.org/t/24-05-call-for-release-manager-editor/42195 . You get paired with someone who did it last time to learn how it all works and is a great way to participate.
