As we discussed, plan is to have everyone share that box so we can all share the same cache and ppl do not need to install nix locally. I will report back soon on how adoption goes. | 05:37:26 |

Good luck with Nix adoption. Let us know how it goes. I would be interested if this idea of introducing Nix at work would work (again). I think I have one advantage here. Two years ago I introduced property testing and the whole team was skeptic for various good reasons. But then it actually found undiscovered bugs so the team was sold and they evangelize using proper testing to other teams. I’m hoping that will help them trust me more this time around even if they’re skeptic at first. 🤞 | 14:32:08 |

It is not needed, but it would be nice to since we're quite some features behind and some nice options were added (eg. aliases). But I agree having a survey out as soon as we can should be the priority. | 11:17:28 |

I think Théophane did extensive pushes to Nix teams already. Some people who had assumptions they wanted to test have gotten involved (mainly the doc, UX and core maintainers teams).
IMO it's progressing. No need for more hands, but maybe just keep spread the word among Nix team leaders.

How do we know it is ready?
Good question. Design phase can be considered done when we have stabilized (e.g. no discussion for a few days).
Then implementation from the doc is straightforward.
